An environmental activist warned that stone quarrying and stone crushing operations near the Tata Semiconductor Assembly and Test (TSAT) project near Jagiroad in Assam could harm or disrupt sensitive semiconductor operating conditions. The activist argued that quarrying and blasting generate dust and vibration that can interfere with manufacturing environments requiring high cleanliness and stability.
