Delhi will launch the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign ahead of Independence Day. The Delhi government says the campaign will combine national-symbol outreach with livelihood support through local supply chains.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the city will distribute more than 15 lakh national flags across Delhi. She added that the State Urban Livelihood Mission is expected to source around two lakh flags from self-help groups, while additional procurement will take place through online marketplaces.
The campaign is presented as more than a flag-distribution exercise. The stated objective is to encourage patriotism, national unity and public participation, while also creating livelihood opportunities for different sections of society.
Background and earlier position
Har Ghar Tiranga has become a recurring public campaign linked to Independence Day observance. The Delhi announcement places the campaign within a broader governance frame: symbolic nation-building on one side, and income support for self-help groups on the other.
