West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced that the state government has decided to implement the Pradhan Mantri Cha Shramik Protsahan Yojana (PMCSPY).
The announcement included a state allocation of ₹313.30 crore. Finance Minister Swapan Dasgupta said implementation will be done jointly with the Government of India, with the programme’s goal being improved living standards for tea garden workers and their families.
