Punjab BJP chief Kewal Singh Dhillon met BJP national president Nitin Nabin in Delhi to discuss strategy for the 2027 Punjab Assembly election and steps to strengthen the BJP organisation.
Senior Punjab BJP organisation leaders were also summoned during the meeting period. Internal dissent within the BJP in Punjab reportedly involves claims that older cadres were sidelined during a recent BJP organisational reshuffle.
Dhillon criticised the Aam Aadmi Party government on drugs, deteriorating law and order, and youth migration abroad. Dhillon’s stated goal was to restore Punjab as safe and prosperous through BJP organisational strengthening down to village and booth levels.
