What happened
The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) signed a framework MoU with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to collaborate in Space Biotechnology and Space Biomanufacturing. Alongside the MoU, DBT announced a joint call for proposals under the collaboration framework. The DBT–BRIC (Biotechnology Research and Innovation Centre) programme also contributed investigators to the AXIOM-4 mission through ISRO–NASA collaboration, with three DBT–BRIC investigators participating.
