Expansion of judicial digital infrastructure (eCourts Mission Mode Project) – funding to High Courts of Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh
Union Law and Justice Minister announced Phase III funding for court digitalisation under the eCourts Mission Mode Project for the High Court of Karnataka and the High Court of Himachal Pradesh.

What happened (Lok Sabha announcement on eCourts Phase III funding)
The Union Minister of Law and Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, made a written reply in the Lok Sabha on funding for judicial digitalisation under the eCourts Mission Mode Project (a judicial digital infrastructure programme for courts).
Phase III of the eCourts Project saw the release of funds for court digitalisation to two High Courts:
UPSC can frame court digitalisation as an institutional reform question: how digital infrastructure is meant to reduce friction in filing and adjudication, improve service delivery in justice delivery, and support rule of law outcomes. The policy angle can also be tied to what it means when funding is released under a named implementation phase (Phase III) and for specific High Courts.
