What happened (Lok Sabha announcement on eCourts Phase III funding)
The Union Minister of Law and Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, made a written reply in the Lok Sabha on funding for judicial digitalisation under the eCourts Mission Mode Project (a judicial digital infrastructure programme for courts).
Phase III of the eCourts Project saw the release of funds for court digitalisation to two High Courts:
• High Court of Karnataka: Rs 151.73 crore released for court digitalisation. • High Court of Himachal Pradesh: Rs 20.66 crore released for court digitalisation.

The Lok Sabha reply states that, besides infrastructure facilities for district and subordinate courts, a comprehensive digital ecosystem has been created under the eCourts Mission Mode Project. The stated purpose is to support the entire lifecycle of a case, from filing to final adjudication.
