What happened (CERT-In actions announced on 30 July 2026)
CERT-In issued cyber alerts and advisories for “latest cyber threats/vulnerabilities” and for malicious attacks using artificial intelligence. CERT-In also stated that it deploys AI-driven capabilities to improve detection and mitigation of phishing and malicious domains.
CERT-In’s stated capabilities and workflows
CERT-In described three connected functions used for cyber defence and coordination.
1) Ongoing alerts and advisories for AI-driven threats\nCERT-In issues alerts and advisories on cyber threats and vulnerabilities, including malicious attacks using artificial intelligence, and links these advisories to countermeasures for protecting computers, networks, and data.
2) AI-driven situational awareness for detection\nCERT-In stated that AI-driven situational awareness systems are deployed to detect malicious domains and phishing activities so that organisations can take necessary mitigation steps.
