What happened: Access Pass issuance totals under the EEZ Rules, 2025 (as on 5 August 2026)
The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying published an annexure (through PIB) giving the State/UT-wise number of Access Passes issued under the EEZ Rules, 2025 (rules for fisheries access in India’s Exclusive Economic Zone) as on 5 August 2026. The annexure reports a Grand Total of 9650 Access Passes across the listed States and Union Territories.
