Overview of TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Shri J.P. Nadda chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the progress under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, focusing on strategies for achieving a tuberculosis-free India.

Progress and Achievements

India's TB incidence has decreased from 243 cases per lakh in 2014 to 187 cases per lakh in 2024, with a noteworthy reduction in TB mortality. More than 28.1 crore people have been screened, and 20 lakh individuals are receiving preventive treatment as part of intensified campaign efforts.
