Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda chaired a high-level inter-ministerial meeting with the Ministries of Youth Affairs & Sports, Labour & Employment, and Defence to enhance the implementation of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
Nadda highlighted the call by Prime Minister Modi for the youth's involvement in transforming the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan into a widespread movement. He emphasized a whole-of-government approach where every sector contributes to tackling tuberculosis.
The meeting focused on increasing community engagement and awareness through youth organisations, medical students, and defence personnel. Key proposals included extended volunteer programs and workplace TB interventions.
