TRAI conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) in Sikkim to evaluate mobile network quality. The tests targeted coverage, call drop rates, call setup success rates, and data throughput across various technology networks.
Key Findings
1. **Coverage Gap:** The testing found varying performance levels among Telecom Service Providers (TSPs). Airtel's coverage gap was 1348 out of 18887 samples, while BSNL showed higher gaps, indicating poor signal quality.
