The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), launched in September 2021, is building a comprehensive digital health ecosystem in India. With over 104 crore health records linked to 93 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA), the system aims to improve healthcare quality and accessibility.

The initiative reduces reliance on paperwork, connects patients with healthcare providers, and allows for seamless access to health records across various facilities. Innovations in health management and data generation further contribute to effective healthcare planning.

Significant advancements include the National Health Claims Exchange (NHCX), which streamlines health insurance claims processing, and the Unified Health Interface (UHI), facilitating interoperability between different healthcare platforms.
