What happened
The Union Home Minister inspected indigenous border-security technologies at the Jhumagachh Border Outpost in Siliguri, West Bengal. The visit centered on border fencing, sensor-based intrusion alerts, and infrastructure for the Border Security Force along the India-Bangladesh border.
The inspection covered a radio-based fence breach detection system, an infra-red alarm system for difficult terrain, and a gate management system for the movement of civilians and farmers.
