What happened
The Ministry of Ayush has said that the Ayush Grid is the information-technology backbone of the Ayush sector. The Ministry has also said that the digital ecosystem now includes 24 e-governance platforms covering service delivery, research and development, Ayush drug administration, medicinal plants, education and awareness, capacity building, and outreach.
The Ministry has placed the My Ayush Integrated Services Portal (MAISP) at the centre of the system. The portal integrates Ayush applications and services into one digital interface and includes an AI-enabled chatbot in beta version for user support.
UPSC can use the Ayush Grid to test the design of digital governance in the health sector: platform integration, interoperability, citizen-centric service delivery, and the role of data-driven decision-making. A mains question can ask whether digital platforms improve access to Ayush services in rural and aspirational districts, while a prelims question can test the functions of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission-compliant hospital system, research portal, or the medicinal plants marketplace.
