What happened (reported progress as of 12 July 2026)
The Government reported ongoing implementation progress of <strong>PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi)</strong>, a street-vendor working-capital loan scheme launched on <strong>01 June 2020</strong>.
As of <strong>12 July 2026</strong>, <strong>76.95 lakh</strong> street vendors have availed <strong>1.15 crore</strong> loans amounting to <strong>₹18,475.06 crore</strong>.
PM SVANidhi loan structure (working capital term loans) is delivered in three tranches with repayment timelines linked to the tranche size:
• Tranche 1: up to <strong>₹15,000</strong>, to be repaid in <strong>12 months</strong> through monthly instalments.
• Tranche 2: up to <strong>₹25,000</strong>, to be repaid in <strong>18 months</strong> through monthly instalments.
