What happened: FAME-II EV sales, buyer incentives, and EV public charging stations in Assam and the North-East
In a Lok Sabha reply, the Ministry of Heavy Industries shared state-wise EV sales under the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles in India (FAME-II) scheme and reported the status of EV public charging stations (EVPCS) in the North-Eastern region. The reply also noted separate sanctioning of EV chargers through Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) alongside FAME-II charging support.
FAME-II EV sales (2022-23 to 2024-25): Assam and North-Eastern States
The Lok Sabha reply provided the total number of electric vehicles (EVs) sold in Assam and other North-Eastern States during 2022-23 and 2023-24, with a combined total for the two years (the table in the reply shows 2022-23 and 2023-24, and then a total).
