What happened: DRI raids in Satara and apprehension in Pune
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) conducted an intelligence-led operation on 01.08.26 in Satara district, Maharashtra, and busted a clandestine manufacturing facility producing psychotropic substances for illicit trafficking. DRI arrested two persons involved with the manufacturing and trafficking process at the premises.
After the premises action, DRI carried out a follow-up operation and apprehended an intended buyer from Pune. DRI recovered evidence pointing to a proposed illicit transaction for further trafficking of the psychotropic substances.
Seizures reported from the premises
DRI recovered psychotropic substances in both finished and intermediary forms, along with manufacture inputs. The recoveries included finished Alprazolam, intermediary Alprazolam, and Diazepam, plus approximately 400 litres of raw materials and reaction mixtures used in illicit manufacture.
