What happened (PIB update on AI skilling enrolments and curriculum)

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in a Lok Sabha written reply, reported enrolment and completion progress for the National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Skilling Initiative. The ministry stated that the programme’s Phase I has received 60,253 applications and enrolled 60,253 participants as of the date of the reply (13 August 2026).

For completion status in Phase I, the ministry stated:

2 Modules of Phase I: 4,620 participants completed 2 modules.All 4 Modules of Phase I: 552 participants completed all 4 modules.

Phase I consists of four modules with a total duration of 33 hours, delivered through two learning platforms.
