What happened (19–21 August 2026): Piyush Goyal leads ministerial and business engagements in Singapore
Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, visited Singapore from 19–21 August 2026 as part of high-level engagement under the India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) framework. An Indian business delegation of around 70 senior business leaders joined the visit to strengthen India–Singapore economic and commercial ties through business-to-business, government-to-business, and institutional meetings.
During the visit, the key ministerial and business calendar included: 4th India–Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) on 20 August 2026—held alongside the 4th India–Singapore Business Roundtable (ISBR).An MoU signing ceremony after the roundtables.A lunch hosted by the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore for ISMR and ISBR delegates.
The ministerial delegations engaged with Singaporean counterparts and senior Singapore leadership. Shri Piyush Goyal also called on Mr Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of Singapore, at the Istana.
B2B and government-to-business interactions were planned with senior representatives from institutions including the Global Finance & Technology Network, YPO Global, Milken Institute, Keppel Infrastructure, Temasek Holdings, IHH Healthcare, and the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), along with representatives from Turner & Townsend and STT GDC. The engagements were followed by a Family Office Roundtable.
The visit also featured sectoral meetings and business forums: A joint visit to an APEDA–FairPrice initiative at City Square Mall with the Singapore Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Trade & Industry, Ms Gan Siow Huang.An India–Singapore Business Forum organised by FICCI at the INSEAD Asia Campus, including a fireside chat titled “India in the New Global Growth Equation: Growth and Opportunity for Businesses in Asia and the World”.A networking dinner with the Indian and Singaporean business community.
