What happened: NHAI bid response for Rameshwar–Paradeep coastal corridor

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) received an “overwhelming response” from bidders for implementation of a 160 km long Access Controlled Greenfield Coastal National Highway from Rameshwar to Paradeep in Odisha. NHAI invited bids to build the project in two packages, and NHAI reported encouraging bidder participation in both packages.

Package-wise bid participation reported by NHAI:

- Package-I (Rameshwar to Konark): 79.4 km, 4-lane, access-controlled road; 10 bids received. - Package-II (Konark to Paradeep): 80.7 km, 2-lane with paved shoulder; 7 bids received.

NHAI indicated that the project will be awarded on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).
