What happened: Union Minister marked NCERT’s 66th Foundation Day and mapped it to NEP 2020
On NCERT’s 66th Foundation Day, Union Minister for Education Shri Pralhad Joshi spoke at NCERT headquarters in New Delhi. He credited NCERT for supporting India’s school education system for more than six decades, especially through textbooks, learning materials, and curriculum frameworks.
The Minister connected NCERT’s work to the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). NEP 2020 is presented as a reform framework for school education, with an emphasis on holistic development, creativity, critical thinking, experiential learning, and competency-based education.
