What happened
The Delhi High Court gave Aam Aadmi Party leaders Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Durgesh Pathak one final opportunity to reply to the Central Bureau of Investigation petition challenging their discharge in the Delhi excise policy case.
In a separate matter, a Delhi court allowed jailed Lok Sabha MP Engineer Rashid to attend the Monsoon Session of Parliament from July 20 to August 13 while remaining in custody.
UPSC may use the Delhi High Court order and the Delhi court order to ask about judicial review in criminal proceedings, the role of the Central Bureau of Investigation in a discharge challenge, and the legal basis for custody parole that allows a detained lawmaker to attend Parliament while remaining in custody.
