What happened in Jharkhand’s draft electoral rolls after SIR enumeration
Jharkhand’s Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar reported that Jharkhand’s State Election Commission published draft electoral rolls after the enumeration phase of a special intensive revision (SIR) of voter lists. In the draft-roll stage, about 16.5% of voters’ names were removed, amounting to 43.6 lakh removed names.

More than 7 lakh names were removed because voters were marked as dead.Over 14 lakh names were removed because voters were marked as untraceable.Over 15 lakh names were removed because voters were marked as permanently shifted out of Jharkhand.1.16 lakh voters did not sign their enumeration forms and did not return the forms to booth-level officers.
