What Karnataka’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) reported after Special Intensive Revision (SIR)

Karnataka’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) reported the outcome of Karnataka’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Karnataka’s electorate was reduced to about 4.46 crore voters after deletion of over 1.07 crore names during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

The CEO stated that most deleted names were marked under ASDDO — “absent, shifted, duplicate, dead, and others”.

The CEO stated electorate composition in the draft rolls as about 2.22 crore men, 2.24 crore women, and 2,871 others.
