A joint National Investigation Agency (NIA)–Manipur Police–Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) team arrested two more suspects in the abduction and killing of six Liangmai Naga civilians in Manipur. The arrests were made in villages in the Leimakhong area of Kangpokpi district. The case is part of the larger ethnic violence in Manipur, where abductions, hostage exchanges and retaliatory attacks have repeatedly deepened insecurity.

Investigators arrested two suspects in the case linked to the killing of six Liangmai Naga civilians. The investigating team said more arrests could follow on the basis of witness testimony.
