India saw a 13.9% year-over-year increase in June's GST collections, primarily from import GST, which grew by 34.6%. This rise is attributed to higher import value of crude and petroleum products, along with a significant increase in gold prices and import duties.
However, domestic GST's slower growth suggests that the increase in overall GST collections isn't due to increased domestic production.
