Delhi High Court directed the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) to act on a complaint filed by former Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) president Dhananjay against Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Vice-Chancellor Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit. The complaint concerns alleged casteist remarks made during a podcast interview earlier in the year.
The court asked NCSC to decide the complaint in a time-bound manner, preferably within the next eight weeks.
