A Delhi court postponed the next stage of proceedings in the 2022 Shraddha Walkar murder case after the accused, Aaftab Amin Poonawala, sought exemption from personal appearance. The request was accepted because he said he would take an M.A. examination inside Tihar Jail on the same day.
The court ordered that recording of prosecution evidence will begin on July 21 at 2 p.m. The exemption request stated that the accused would attend the university examination at the prison’s designated exam centre between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on July 20.
