What happened
The Supreme Court will hear three separate petitions on Monday, when it reopens after the summer vacation, in a matter concerning alleged embezzlement of donations linked to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The listing places the dispute before a three-judge Bench headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant.
The petitions ask for different forms of judicial intervention. One petition seeks complete financial disclosure from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, including details of foreign contributions. Another seeks protection of electronic evidence such as CCTV footage so that records are not erased, overwritten, or corrupted. The third seeks either a Central Bureau of Investigation probe or a multi-disciplinary Special Investigation Team.
