A 19-year-old protester injured during a march in Delhi may lose vision in his right eye after being hit by pellet rounds, according to his family. The student underwent surgery at AIIMS to remove pellets, and doctors reportedly told the family that the chance of regaining sight is extremely low because the pupil was damaged.
Another injured protester underwent surgery at Lady Hardinge Medical College, with hospital sources indicating that the pellets were metal and not plastic. A separate injured protester, Sakshi, was removed from ventilator support after responding to treatment.
