A debris slip at a tunnel construction site in Wayanad, Kerala, has ended with the recovery of the body of the lone missing person, identified as Bikram Singh Raina, a project manager from Himachal Pradesh. The recovery on the sixth day of search operations raised the death toll to eight.
The incident occurred on July 7. Emergency workers found the body in Zone II, after which relatives identified it and the body was shifted to Vythiri Taluk Hospital for post-mortem examination. It was then planned to be moved to Kozhikode Government Medical College Hospital for embalming and repatriation to the deceased's native place.
