The Board of Control for Cricket in India is weighing whether to retain three members of India’s men’s cricket support staff as their contracts near expiry after the England limited-overs tour. The issue has relevance mainly for sports administration and team continuity before the next One Day International (ODI) World Cup cycle.
What the personnel situation is
According to the Press Information Bureau release, the three staff members are assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate, bowling coach Morne Morkel, and fielding coach T. Dilip.
The release says ten Doeschate and Morkel are reportedly reluctant to commit to new terms because of personal and professional reasons. T. Dilip has completed his tenure and is waiting to learn whether his contract will be extended.

The Board of Control for Cricket India and head coach Gautam Gambhir are reportedly evaluating whether to keep the group in place through the build-up to next year’s ODI World Cup.
