What happened

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways says the Government of India has reviewed the shipping and shipbuilding sector and approved a four-pillar strategy to revive it. The Government has also approved a Rs. 69,725 crore package to support domestic capacity, maritime financing, shipyard development, skilling, and reforms.
