What happened (PM E-DRIVE approval)
The Ministry of Heavy Industries approved the PM E-DRIVE (Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement) scheme for electric mobility and domestic manufacturing support. The scheme is approved with an outlay of Rs. 10,900 crore effective from 01.04.2024 till 31.03.2028.
PM E-DRIVE supports domestic manufacturing and related enabling components across multiple electric vehicle categories and deployment supports.
Key components supported under PM E-DRIVE include:
