What happened
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (through an official PIB communication) published an Annexure that lists the National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) offering the Artificial Intelligence Programming Assistant (AIPA) course for the 2025–26 intake cycle.
The Annexure specifies intake capacity for the trade “Artificial Intelligence Programming Assistant” across the listed institutes. The total intake capacity stated across all listed NSTIs is 600 for the 2025–26 cycle.
Background and earlier position
NSTIs are part of India’s skill training ecosystem that provides structured vocational training and industry-aligned skill development. In UPSC terms, NSTI course announcements are usually used to monitor planned capacity building under the broader Human Capital and employment-skills agenda.
