What happened (UGC foreign-campus approvals + outbound study/education intent)
University Grants Commission (UGC) issued 16 Letters of Intent (LoIs) to Foreign Higher Educational Institutions (FHEIs) from Australia, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. UGC also reported granting Letters of Approval for four named FHEIs to begin academic operations in Mumbai. The Government of India also shared Bureau of Immigration (BoI) data on Indians whose purpose of foreign visit was disclosed as STUDY/EDUCATION for 2021 to 2025.
