The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released findings of an Independent Drive Test conducted across Dibrugarh and Tinsukia Districts in Assam in April 2026. This test assesses the quality of mobile network services provided by Telecom Service Providers (TSPs). It aims to inform consumers and improve service by presenting key Quality of Service (QoS) parameters.

During the test, TRAI monitored coverage, call drop rates, and data throughput using various mobile technologies (2G to 5G). The tests spanned 374.5 KMs in city and hotspot locations and included 2.2 KMs of walk tests. These assessments help consumers understand the reliability of mobile services.
