The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released findings from an Independent Drive Test conducted in North Delhi during April 2026. This assessment evaluated the real-time quality of mobile network services from multiple Telecom Service Providers (TSPs), focusing on key Quality of Service (QoS) parameters.

The drive test spanned 374.2 kilometers across various environments, capturing mobile network performance data. Key parameters assessed included Coverage Gap, Call Drop Rate (CDR), and data Download/Upload speeds.

Results showed significant disparities among TSPs in terms of coverage and call quality. For instance, Airtel reported a coverage gap of 719 samples from 50,951, while MTNL exhibited a gap of 31,918 out of 44,486 samples.
