MY Bharat webinar ‘जागरूक जिगर’ to promote a Nasha Mukt and Healthy India; ILBS launches ‘Yuva Yakrit Mitra (Y2M)’ programme

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports used Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) to organise a national webinar titled “जागरूक जिगर: Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” with the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS). The initiative matters because it links youth engagement with preventive health messaging and substance-abuse awareness, both of which fit UPSC’s social-justice and governance syllabus.
The webinar was presented as an awareness exercise for young people on the harmful effects of substance abuse and on preventive healthcare. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports said the programme aimed to inspire youth to become ambassadors of a healthier, addiction-free India.
The webinar also served as the launch platform for the Yuva Yakrit Mitra (Y2M) Experiential Learning Programme, jointly developed by ILBS and MY Bharat. The programme is designed to give young people practical public-health skills and create a nationwide network of Yuva Health Champions.
UPSC may frame the issue around how the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) can support preventive healthcare, addiction awareness, and community outreach through youth participation. The issue also links governance, public-health communication, and the design of experiential learning programmes for young citizens.
