Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Law and Justice and Minister of State of Parliamentary Affairs, stated that NeVA required a generic application adaptable to differences in legislative rules and workflows across State/UT legislatures.
Background: what made NeVA implementation difficult
State and Union Territory legislatures follow different rules of procedure, working practices, and business processes. NeVA implementation also had to work across uneven conditions in digital readiness, including differences in ICT infrastructure, baseline digitalisation, and stakeholders’ capacity to use paperless legislative processes.
