What happened: Mission Shakti Guidelines operationalise One Stop Centres (OSCs) for immediate, integrated support
The Ministry of Women and Child Development reported in the Lok Sabha that Mission Shakti Guidelines require One Stop Centre (OSC) services to be provided “under one roof” to women affected by violence and women in distress. OSC services are designed to deliver integrated and immediate support to women in private and public spaces across India.
OSCs under Mission Shakti: minimum infrastructure and service standards
Mission Shakti Guidelines prescribe minimum infrastructure and service standards for each OSC. The standards include the following service components and delivery requirements:
• space for counselling
• temporary shelter
