What happened
The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) stated that it implements centrally sponsored welfare schemes for women and children under three verticals: Mission Shakti (safety, protection and empowerment of women), Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0 (improving nutrition and health indicators), and Mission Vatsalya (protection and welfare of children in difficult circumstances). MWCD also shared operational coverage figures and design features for multiple Mission Shakti components, including One Stop Centre (OSC), Women Helpline (WHL-181), Shakti Sadan, Sakhi Niwas, Palna, PMMVY, and SANKALP: Hub for Empowerment of Women (SANKALP: HEW).
