What happened
The 12th Session of the India-Russia Working Group on Modernization and Industrial Cooperation was held on August 7, 2026 at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi. The meeting reviewed progress since the 11th session and discussed industrial collaboration across identified sub-groups under the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation.
India and Russia jointly chaired the session through the following officials:
India’s co-chair: Shri Amardeep Singh Bhatia, Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Russia’s co-chair: H.E. Mr Alexey Gruzdev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia.
Around 60 delegates attended the session from both sides. The session also resulted in the signing of the Protocol of the 12th session by both co-chairs.
