What happened: PM-YASASVI scholarship enabled an MBA completion (Divya Darade)
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment presented an education-support outcome through Ms. Divya Darade, a 25-year-old student from Maharashtra belonging to the OBC (NT-D) community. Ms. Divya Darade pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from a premier institution after receiving scholarship assistance under the PM-YASASVI Scheme for Top Class Education for OBC, EBC and DNT Students.
In the government-provided narrative, the key barrier was affordability. Ms. Divya Darade’s family had a low annual income, and the high tuition and other education expenses created financial hardship that could have disrupted higher education plans. Scholarship support under PM-YASASVI is presented as enabling continued study without financial uncertainty so the student could focus on academics.
