What happened: PAIMANA and the Performance Monitoring Dashboard

MoSPI launched PAIMANA (Project Assessment, Infrastructure Monitoring and Analytics for Nation-Building) on 25 September 2025 as a web-based platform for monitoring Central Sector infrastructure projects in India. MoSPI also launched PAIMANA-CRIP on 8 July 2026 and created a dedicated Performance Monitoring Dashboard launched on 16 April 2026 to track infrastructure performance using indicators.

Background and earlier position: OCMS-2006 and other monitoring tools

PAIMANA is described as replacing the earlier OCMS-2006 (Online Computerized Monitoring System) for monitoring Central Sector infrastructure projects. The PIB Backgrounder also states that project review mechanisms such as PRAGATI and PMG would use project-related data sourced and updated through the same platform ecosystem.

What changed now: scope, integrations, and the new indicator approach

PAIMANA and its connected modules broaden both monitoring coverage and monitoring depth: (a) PAIMANA covers large Central Sector infrastructure projects, (b) PAIMANA-CRIP supports an evolving project repository function, and (c) the Performance Monitoring Dashboard introduces an indicator-based framework for infrastructure performance monitoring across multiple sub-sectors.
