What happened: MoSPI expanded PAIMANA monitoring and reported June 2026 status
The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is strengthening monitoring of Central Sector infrastructure projects through its PAIMANA platform. MoSPI states that PAIMANA supports improved tracking, timely reviews, and data-driven decision-making across Central Ministries/Departments. As of June 2026, PAIMANA tracks the following for 1,847 ongoing infrastructure projects:
Total revised project cost: ₹40.54 lakh croreCumulative expenditure incurred: ₹21.97 lakh croreExpenditure share of revised cost: about 54.18%
MoSPI also reports completion milestones (thresholds used for monitoring):
Physical progress over 80%: 709 projects (about 39%)Financial completion over 80%: 337 projects (about 19%)
