What happened (SAMRIDH support for Andhra Pradesh startups)

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) implemented the Startup Accelerator of Product Innovation, Development and Growth (SAMRIDH) programme using existing and upcoming accelerators. Under SAMRIDH in Andhra Pradesh, MeitY supported 5 startups through a selected accelerator based in Visakhapatnam and disbursed ₹1.81 crore to that accelerator.

SAMRIDH programme coverage and monitoring mechanism

SAMRIDH was designed to accelerate around 300 startups across sectors including health-tech, ed-tech, agri-tech, consumer-tech, fin-tech, Software as a Service (SaaS), and sustainability. Performance monitoring and evaluation of selected accelerators was done by MeitY Start-up Hub (MSH) under Digital India Corporation (DIC). The monitoring used quantitative and qualitative parameters and also tracked revenue and valuation growth of supported startups on an annual basis.
