What happened (government decisions and PPP reforms)

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) stated that it is primarily responsible for development and maintenance of National Highways (NHs). MoRTH announced a set of priorities for access-controlled high-speed corridors and connectivity projects, aimed at widening highway infrastructure investment opportunities for private players.

MoRTH also announced PPP-focused reforms and amendments in standard bidding and concession documents for Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) projects on NHs to make bidding and contracting clearer and more investment-attractive.
