What happened in Rajasthan (PMAY-G approvals and directions)
Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, participated in the State-level program of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) in Baran, Rajasthan. Shri Chouhan handed Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma an approval letter for 2,89,355 pucca houses under PMAY-G with a project outlay of ₹3,473 crore.
At the same occasion, Shri Chouhan also handed over an approval letter of ₹340.59 crore under agricultural development initiatives and under the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY).
What PMAY-G delivery status and implementation steps were reported
Shri Chouhan stated that a survey of 29,13,749 new beneficiaries has been completed. He added that after physical verification, houses will be sanctioned for the remaining eligible beneficiaries.
For implementation discipline, Shri Chouhan directed that transparent beneficiary lists must be displayed at district and panchayat levels. He also directed that objections should be heard and wrongful exclusion of eligible persons should be prevented.
