What happened: Rajasthan PMAY-G approvals and eligibility changes announced
Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited Rajasthan and participated in the state-level programme of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin (PMAY-G) in Baran. During the programme, the Minister handed over approval letters for rural housing and also announced changes in PMAY-G eligibility rules for housing assistance.
Key approvals and allocations announced in Baran:
• PMAY-G houses (Rajasthan): Approval for 2,89,355 pucca houses. The announced project outlay was ₹3,473 crore.
• Other agricultural development allocation (Rajasthan): Approval letter for ₹340.59 crore under agricultural development initiatives and Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY).
